i have a friend who keeps for morrows

i have a friend deeply meditative
blessed with thoughtful writing-
his devotion to God so deep
that he talks in undertones
not to disturb Him even--
but one problem ever with him
he scarcely writes keeping it for morrows-
believes he would have verve and resolve
and my pleadings to the contrary shake him not ;
he keeps now his pen at a respectable distance;
he is at peace as his wont but i am at wits' end
writing my wasted efforts on him
and staring at day draining its seconds !
